Sacred Geometry in Contemporary Miniature Art | Spotlight Exhibition
This neo-miniature exhibition reinterprets and reinvents traditional miniature art through the common thread of ‘Sacred Geometry’. The exhibition will showcase the work of 13 artists who were selected to be part of Mango Tree Miniature Painting Workshop and artist retreat under the guidance of expert Martha Moderitz, faculty with Prince’s School of Traditional Arts, London. The workshop and retreat held in Mody University Lakshmangarh in December 2018, was equally based in theory and practice of Sacred Geometry.
Sacred Geometry, the confluence of art, science, and spirituality, constitutes a common ground between many of the world’s cultures and traditions: its language of number and symbol (circle, triangle, and square) can be used to express profound ideas about the nature of existence.
This group show illuminates the individual interpretations of sacred geometry within the realms of miniature painting by the 13 participating artists.
